For funds evaluating a technology investment. We assess architecture, engineering team capability, codebase quality, security posture, and technical debt, and put the findings in a short, direct report a partner will actually read before capital is committed.
For firms moving from legacy systems to agentic operations. We advise on the migration path, agent governance and access control, evaluation, and where agents belong versus deterministic code, drawing on experience building agentic infrastructure in production against live financial operations.
Retained access to a senior engineering principal for portfolio companies and scaling teams. We advise on roadmaps, hiring strategy, architecture decisions, and leadership, as an outside voice with no stake in internal politics.
We also take a limited amount of public sector work, advising governments on technology strategy and procurement.
Our Principal
Norchester & Co is led by Lanre Ibraheem, Founder and Principal. Lanre has over a decade of experience building core engineering infrastructure and leading engineering organisations across fintech, open banking, and global SaaS.
He currently serves as a Senior Engineering Manager at Deel, where he leads teams responsible for payroll infrastructure operating across 150+ countries and processing over $22B annually, and leads the AI initiatives for payroll processing.
Earlier, he co-founded Usetunnel, where he served as Chief Technology Officer, leading engineering architecture and strategy through to its acquisition. He contributed to building Africa’s first open banking infrastructure.
The firm was founded to provide independent, operator level technical judgment for investment decisions, AI transformation, and the long term health of engineering organisations.
